What are Moon Rocks?
Moon rocks are not a type of marijuana strain, but more of a cannabis concoction. Typically they are nugs of marijuana that are dipped in hash oil, and then sprinkled with kief (THC crystals).
If you have had an ice cream cone that was dipped in chocolate and then covered with sprinkles, you know exactly what Moon Rocks are all about.
How to Smoke Moon Rocks
In order for the best experience consuming Moon Rocks, use a hash bowl or a smoking pipe. Whatever you do, DO NOT put moon rocks into your weed grinder. Weed grinders will get gummed up with the hash oil, and you will lose all the kief on top of that. Instead, break small pieces off the moon rock by hand and put them into your pipe.
Moon Rocks Potency
Moon rocks are considered the “caviar” of cannabis, and it’s VERY potent. Average marijuana strains have anywhere from 17% to 30% THC, but Moon Rocks have nearly double that amount, usually hovering around 50% THC.
We recommend smoking only a little bit of the moon rock when you get it to judge your tolerance. Keep in mind that this is cannabis, hash oil, and THC crystals, all together in one bowl.
Moon Rocks Taste & Effects
Hitting Moon Rocks from a pipe produces an extremely pleasant and terpene-rich taste of kief. The smoke clouds produced are verybig and full, so each hit is its own experience.
Starting from your head and eventually spreading throughout the entire body, a Moon Rocks high is a slow burn that you definitely feel at first, but 30 minutes later you realize that you have reached a mountaintop that you may not have been ready to climb.
You’re going to be dehydrated and the cottonmouth is real. Go ahead and grab a gallon of water and sit it directly next to you while smoking Moon Rocks, because once that high hits, you will not want to move a single muscle to get up and grab of glass of high-quality H2O.
